Polynesian teams and their physicality, eh?
During England’s Women’s Rugby World clash with Samoa, Samoa’s full back, Soteria Pulumu, was sent off for a reckless spear tackle on England’s scrum half, Natasha Hunt. Predictably, Pulumu was sent off for the incident.
Thankfully, Hunt was unscathed in the incident and went on to be a thorn in the Samoan’s side for the remainder of the game, which England won at a canter.

The accompanying post sounds a bit sarcastic and suggests that the Samoan player should not have been sent off. The tackle was reckless, poorly performed and dangerous. Had Hunt been injured in the tackle I hope the post would have had a different bias.
The tackle if performed correctly would still have been as effective and would have had a vastly different effect on the game. The focus here should not be on the Islanders physicality but more on their inability to use it in a controlled way within the game.
