This past week, Wales, serving as a precursor for their test games against the Springboks, took on the Eastern Kings, a Currie Cup team based in the Eastern Cape.
The Welsh players, eager to impress Warren Gatland and force their way into his Test reckoning, were fired up & ran in five tries in a dominant 34-12 victory.
It wasn’t only on the scored-board where the Welsh had ascendancy, though; they were dominant physically which should stand them in good stead for the physical scrutiny they’ll face against the Springboks.
Scott Baldwin epitomised the Welsh physicality when he jumped out of the line like some Valley produced torpedo and welcomed Edgar Marutlulle to sitdownsville.
