Usually, a Rugby team celebrates promotion or any significant achievement by drinking copious amounts of pints and engaging in banter that is best left to the wee hours of the morning; Pau, however, chose a different route.
Celebrating their return to the Top14 for the first time since they were relegated to France’s ProD2 in 2006, Pau-coached by former All Black fly half and Munster back’s coach, Simon Mannix- took part in a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, a song not readily associated with Rugby.
All Blacks Colin Slade and Conrad Smith better brush up on their singing as they are due to arrive at the newly promoted side for next season.
