FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Taking these straight out of the packet and trying them on, the first thing I notice is how comfortable and lightweight the items are. They provide the right balance of lightweight and comfort, But I had to put it to the test. I’ve had 3 weeks intense training and testing wearing the SKINS Carbonyte and wore them to the death to give you the best review possible.

PERFORMANCE:

I’ve had 3 weeks intense training in skins, making sure I get a comprehensive review and I have to say I really am impressed! My benchmark to compare these against were the other major brands in the baselayer market – Nike, Under armour, Canterbury, etc. and the new skins can easily out perform the top of the range baselayers on the market. The fit is unrivaled, and in training they don’t hinder movement at all, and help keep you cool during intense training. During training, I admit I sweat A LOT – and The carbonyte baselayer managed to keep me cool and able to perform better for longer. It comes from A hidden feature which you need to experience is that of climatic control courtesy of SKINdry technology. This has been developed to accelerate the evaporation of perspiration and slow the formation of humidity on the skin to maintain a constant temperature. After training I tend to suffer from cramps, specially in my Hamstrings, and not once did I get a cramp while wearing this baselayer! A big plus for me. Helping you stay fresh even after heavy use, the bacteriostatic carbon fibres in the fabric help reduce body odour so you can feel great for any activity

STYLE:

The style is very nice for the Carbonyte range and not what we’re used to from skins – instead of having big skins logos all over the items, all we have is one or two ‘S’ logos on the chest and sleeve of the tops and on the leg of the bottoms. With vibrant colours as well as some understated – they cater for every style of player – From the prop who wears nothing but black, to the winger who loves wearing bright red or blue!

PRICE:
