Courtney Lawes – Playing on the edge

Courtney Lawes is well known for his crunching hits on fly-halves/first receivers. If he pulls it off it’s incredible to see from a spectator’s point of view. It roughs up the main decision maker of the other team and significantly boosts moral.

You could argue that he takes too many risks sometimes. If he was a split second later on Jules Plisson yesterday, he could have got a yellow card. However he got it absolutely spot on and put the French team under a lot of pressure with it. Below are plenty more examples and while he keeps getting right you can’t complain!
