It’s indicative of the high standards New Zealand have set themselves that, despite beating England, one of the world’s best teams, the All Blacks coach, Steve Hansen, could still find fault with the Kiwi’s performance.
Indeed, in an interview after the All Blacks 20-15 victory over the English, Steve Hansen made no effort to hide his disdain at the hosts performance, criticising the skills sets of his players in particular
“Our skill sets were very poor – probably the poorest they’ve ever been,” mused Hansen.
There was one facet of New Zealand he should be proud of, though, and that was their defence.
In the below video, we can see the aggression and organisation of the Kiwi’s defence, something which David Wilson can vouch her as he was unceremoniously smashed by Jerome Kaino.
