Pre season is often an arduous experience for professional Rugby players with grueling fitness sessions commonplace. However, that doesn’t mean that players can’t have the occasional moments of fun.

TJ Perenara proved exactly this with an improvised dropgoal in Hurricanes training lately.

What we wonder, though, is whether this was the first take or not?

Things have been going swimmingly for Jonny May lately. After leaving Conrad Smith eating dust with a try of virtuoso brilliance against the All Blacks, the winger added two more tries to his growing test-score tally with a brace of touch downs in England’s next game, against Samoa.

It’s not only England who are reaping the benefits of the twenty four year old’s form, though, with Gloucester, his club, also benefiting richly.

May’s one handed juggle and catch, despite the proximity of the man whose England place he took-Chris Ashton- epitomizes his form of late. Miraculously, May managed to juggle the ball one handed in mid air, catch it and then present it to back to his team-mate.

We weren’t even sure that some of these things were possible to do with a Rugby ball, but  free-stylist, Wassim Benslimane, blew our mind with his amazing show of coordination and dexterity.

The Frenchman, who is known for his football freestyling, coped admirably well because, as we all know, the bounce of a Rugby ball can be extremely deceptive and difficult to judge.

No doubt modeled on the famous All Blacks skills video, the varsity Rugby team from ISB, inInternational School Bangkok, attempted their own skills challenge, with the results being, erm, interesting.

Clearly, the lads have a strong interest in Rugby, but we don’t think they’ll be on the minds of any selectors any times soon.

On the evidence of this video, Scots College Sydney are better than your school team.

Deft hands, incisive lines, pace and steps, the Sydney based school team has it all.

Strikingly, their backs and forwards seem almost interchangeable with their forwards having a very rounded game and able to pass, evade and turn on the afterburners.
