In what is considered the longest range successful penalty kick in international Rugby history, Wales’ Paul Thorburn slotted a penalty from 70 metres against Scotland in the Five Nations’ of 1986.

Impressively, the former Neath player achieved the feat without the assistance of a kicking tee.
