Leinster were looking to make it 2 in a row with a win over Glasgow, while Glasgow wanted to make history and win their first title.

The game was fiercely contested up until half time with a score of 14-12 to Leinster on 40 minutes. Leinster came out all guns blazing in the second half and put the game to bed with tries from Gordon D’arcy and a second of the game for Zane Kirchner.

Today also was the end of an era as Leo Cullen & Brian O’Driscoll hung up their boots for the final time. It was a pity to see O’Driscoll to go off injured within 10 minutes but it wasn’t a bad season to finish on either.

Last night Brian O’Driscoll & Leo Cullen pulled on the blue of Leinster for the second last time on front of a home crowd at the RDS. Leinster narrowly beat Edinburgh 15-13 in a dull game which confirmed Leinster’s semi-final against Ulster next Saturday.

The two legends of Irish and Leinster rugby had a few words to say as they thanked the fans for all their support over the years and bid their final proper farewell on home soil. Watch the video here:

Brian O’Driscoll has revealed that he hopes to return to Leinster in a coaching capacity after he hangs up his boots at the end of this season.
O’Driscoll will bring a long and distinguished career with Leinster to an end this month but in a press conference ahead of Saturday’s Rabodirect Pro12 clash with Edinburgh, he confirmed that he’s interested in a coaching role with the province.
“I have had a few discussions about some involvement in the club and I hope that would be possible because it’s a huge passion of mine,” he said.
“From my point of view it would be nice to have involvement of some sort. Nothing has been formally discussed – it has been briefly mentioned.
“From my end all I can say is, that if I felt as though I could add value in some capacity to the club, I would love to and I’d be honoured to be still involved.
“I want to break away from the day-to-day scheduling but I would love to be able to come in on my terms and help out if it was needed” – Brian O’Driscoll

Even if O’Driscoll does not return to the Leinster set-up in one way or another, he insists that he will always be a supporter of the province and added: “I’ll always want Leinster to do well, it’s a passion of mine.
“It’s been a part of my whole adult life and I’ll always be a Leinster supporter whether I have an involvement or not.
“I’ll always shout at the telly when they’re playing and I’ll always want them to do well.”
