Teimana Harrison: X Blades Legend Cyber

Harrison was one of the few stars to catch the eye for Northampton, and his classy X Blades caught the eye as well. X Blades may not be a very well known brand, but with stars like Dylan Hartley and Harrison swearing by their design, they must be doing something right. X Blades have been slowly making inroads in the rugby market, and with their sleek designs that is a trend that is sure to continue.

Maro Itoje: Adidas Kakari

Itoje is one of England rugby’s rising stars, and the Kakaris perfectly suit his abrasive, hard hitting style. Adidas designed the Kakari for tight five forwards, and with firm ankle support and excellent stud positioning, they offer a great feel in scrums and rucks. Adidas has worked hard to refine the boots to be lighter for open play, but they have lost none of their traditional grit and simplicity.

James O’Connor: Puma Evospeed 1.4

O’Connor has remained loyal to Puma for some time, and the new EvoSpeed seem to be Puma’s return on his investment. These might not be the boots for front rowers, but if you’re a back and you like choices in the colours of your boots, these are definitely the way to go. Puma may not be the first brand to come to mind, but they will offer great durability and now, they have the looks to back it up as well.

Telusa Veanu: Nike Mercurial Victory V

Mercurials tend to be very classy, and they suit the magical feet of Telusa Veanu. The Mercurial’s lightweight and small studs may be better suited to football, but wingers seem to find them perfectly acceptable for rugby. Again, not a boot for the forwards among us, but if you find yourself standing out near the touchline for the whole match, are confused by scrums and lineouts, and complain about literally everything, then these are the boots for you.

Schalk Brits: Nike Alpha Pro 2 ¾

Brits has gone for a different sort of football boot than most rugby players. The Saracens hooker seems to be a fan of American football boots, and it really isnt hard to see why. The Alpha Pro 2 was designed to be sort of an all rounder, and the ¾ length is perfect for mobile front rowers like Brits. They are very lightweight, but the ¾ length gives far more anke support than most other rugby and football boots. Additionally, like most American football boots, they offer stunning good looks.

You can find all these great boots here!
