Farrell, who has 35 caps for England, has pledged his allegiance with Ireland claiming his heritage through his grandfather, Kieran O’Loughlin.

When asked about how he will be able to play for Ireland with international caps for a different nation already, Farrell replied “It’s alright, Daddy is the new coach and he said that doesn’t matter. He’ll have a word with Joe and get me playing.”

“Sexton won’t stand a chance against me when it comes to selection, I have much better hair and a six pack. That’s what you need to play 10 at this level.”

Talking to Andy Farrell, Owen’s dad and Ireland’s new defensive coach about his son, he said that “Owen is the best 10 in the world. of course he is, he’s a northerner. No-One can beat us.”

“I’ll convince Joe to let him play. I’m very convincing. Just look at what I did with Stuart for so long!”
