So, you’ve just secured the Six Nations Championship for your country, how do you celebrate?

In the case of most Rugby players, they would get horrifically drunk and, citing Andy Powell, may, perhaps, take a golfcart for a spin, but the Leinster foursome of Rob Kearney, Dave Kearney, Jamie Heaslip and Sean O’Brien had an alternate plan. What was their plan, you ask? Well, they decided to buy a Dublin pub.

Only days after the glory of their Six Nations Title clinching victory in Paris, it has been announced that the Kearney brothers along with their Leinster and Ireland team-mates, Jamie Heaslip and Sean O’Brien, have decided, in partnership with Dublin publican Noel Anderson, to purchase Bellamy’s bar in Ballsbridge for an apparent price of €1.35m.

Given its proximity to the AVIVA stadium, we would wager that the pub will be extremely busy, especially on match day. Add the fact that the Kearney brothers popularity with the ladies is sure to attract hoardes of females, then, like the Six Nations campaign, we’re sure they are on to a winner.

We certainly know where our new Dublin watering hole will be.
