Who said it’s all about weight?

On Sunday, Japan suffered a heavy 47-7 defeat by France in the World Rugby U20 Championship. The Japanese struggled to cope with the French flair in the back line and their defence was carved open several times.

Japan can be proud of their pack after an impressive scrummaging display against the French whose pack weighed in 72kg heavier than them. Here’s a 7 minute video of the Japanese dismantling the french scrum.
