English rugby legend Andy Goode has been confirmed as the captain for England in the 6 Nations in the latest of many accolades during his incredible career.

England Coach Eddie Jones said the following “Andy is probably the best all around athlete in rugby at the moment. Dylan is a great leader and player, but Andy is just something else. In addition, Andy’s versatility given that he can cover both 10 and prop is a huge asset to us for the coming tournament”.

Ireland Coach Joe Schmidt also gave a comment on the news saying “This changes things, it really does. It was one thing when we had to prepare for that short fella at 10 or even the guy who does the creepy stare at the posts, but now Andy Goode?!? I mean, some of the boys don’t even want to play against England anymore!”

Off the field as well, Goode’s success continues, as it has been announced that he is to be knighted, and then made an honorary member of the royal family. The Queen has stated that she will be “honored” to be in the presence of Goode. “The man is an icon” she said “I don’t even know that I am worthy to be graced by his presence.”

England fans everywhere are rejoicing at the news, and one said “No points differential bullsh*t can stop us now!” One can only be left to wonder what could have been if this decision had been made prior to the World Cup, but for now, all is well in England.
